Absolute Disappointment

I ordered these once and the sole came completely off after about 2 hours so I got a replacement in the hopes they would be better but after 45 minutes outside on flat terrain both boots had the soles starting to come off. I am very disappointed and do not recommend.

Detailed and accurate. Worn 8+ hours a day, very comfortable. Also bought mesh insoles. order regular size insoles and they will fit fine.

Great idea to reproduct these boots! The 2nd pattern is my favorite. Now I can wear jungle boots every time. I'm looking to buy one pair of 1st pattern for my collection (to rare to find in original). Thanks again

Applause is due for these boots. Toe shape is correct (a common problem ) and the heel stitch so revered by collectors likewise. I have a mint original pair of this version and all you can really say by way of contrasting is that the sole is a little less firm.

Got my boots and I’m overall extremely pleased with them! Comfortability is on point and super easy to break in, the construction seems pretty durable so far and more than adequate for reenacting and overall appreciate is way up there! With how supple and soft the leather is, I believe regular sizes won’t be an issue for fitting if they were to be made. It’s great that the scene finally has some decent boots with the correct sole and can hopefully stem the destruction of originals now! Here’s hoping 3rd patterns will be released in the future too and then originals will almost never have to be worn again!

Received today and utterly delighted, The appearance of these boots is simply as authentic as you could hope for. Tye market is now no longer gapped and the price is a steal.

First of all, the boot arrived damaged. 3 holes in the canvas. I reported this to WPG. They corrected this by refunding a small amount. I sewed those three holes. The boot surprisingly fit my foot perfectly and was surprisingly comfortable, unlike the Miltec products.
The first serious use of the boot came. I wore it to a two-day oldtimer event. During those two days, I just stood and walked in it. This did not happen on difficult terrain, but on a grassy exhibitor's area.
When I got home at the end of the second day, I noticed that the side of the boot on my left foot had separated from the sole. I reported this to WPG and sent pictures. They again helped by refunding a certain amount. This whole letter is not directed against them, but against the manufacturer. At the same time, I took the defective boot to a shoemaker. He looked at it and said that the manufacturer had not glued the sole properly.They fixed it, but they couldn't guarantee that the boots would last long.
It's disappointing that you can buy a replica boot for $115 (plus shipping, plus duty) and it doesn't last two days. I would expect it to last at least 3-4 years, just because my crappy Miltec boots did. In summary:
I wouldn't recommend these boots to anyone. You'd be better off getting an original war boot. I'm only giving it two stars because of the accuracy of WPG.
