I have been looking for ages as a suitable camera bag for LH events and this bag is perfect. I can fit 2 vintage 35mm cameras inside along with zoom lenses and spare film canisters.

I'll admit I was initially wary about purchasing this item; there's some discussion about the quality of various replicas modelled upon the MLE 1935 Musette. I can confirm that the quality of the Schipperfabrik replica (the residual stock acquired by WPG) appears superb.

I bought this bag as it is a replica of the French WW2 haversack to use with a Resistance impression. RecentlyI took it on a day hike with my dogs because a normal back pack caused my back to sweat which is not good in cold weather. It worked perfectly as a carry-all. The front pockets were perfect for a water bottle and small thermos and the main compartment was roomy enough for my other essentials. This is now my standard hiking haversack.

Although its movie claim to fame is The Ninth Gate, it reminds me of something from a period film like Out of Africa or The English Patient. Great bag and delivery was fast!

The bag seems VERY well made, and nicely done, with well sewn leather taping the seams. Would be great as a small carry-on, or overnight bag. Won't hold a laptop, but fits an iPad/tablet just fine. (This one may even see duty as a diaper bag for a newborn!)

The shoulder strap is a thin webbing (think original Mk. VI or VII gas mask bag) which is probably appropriate for the era. However, there are leather loops around the outside that would allow a 5cm / 2in leather or webbed strap to encircle the bag and be used as a supplemental strap. Will probably make one of each up and see how they look.
