I too noticed the Battle Dress was a slight bit lighter colour than what my Uncle wore but I know that during World War II many of the Canadian soldiers wore what was issued to them (not "gently worn")

Really impressed with uniform, I especially like the lighter weight wool and recommend this for all ranks.

As to fit, WPG tends to undersize and I recommend ordering up one from your regular size. This jacket is meant to blouse at the waist. I wear a 42 and got a 44. Perfect fit and period look.

Great quality Battledress! Color is slightly lighter then the "normal" battledress. But good enought for me (were a lot of fabrics with colordifferences during WW2). Materials are indeed not that heavy/thick and stiff, but still creepy (because of the wool). About the sizing: salemanager advised me to order my normal size. But I ordered a size smaller (ordered 38 instead of 40). Fits still perfect and enough space even with a shirt and t-shirt underneath and not too small. Manager told me that the battledress are oversized with 4 inches to give extra room to move body freely. My advise is: order 1 size smaller cause of the 4 inches extra room.
