Quite Pleased

Just received another fine product from WPG. Over the years I have never once been disappointed. The gilt pips were excellent reproductions and are difficult to distinguish from the originals that I have. Very pleased!

Definitely a well made product. I ordered 6 hoping to have a matching set on both shoulders, however when they arrived I got two different styles. Possibly old stock and new stock? Definitely noticeably different in appearance. Can't fault the quality but it would have been nice if they all matched.

But, I was really surprised when they arrived.
I ordered 6, and they came quickly, as every WPG purchase I have ever made has.
They look exactly as described, EXCEPT for the way to attach it to your epaulets. I was expecting a sharp pin, with a closure for the other side.
What they HAVE, is two long loops, each about 1 cm long at opposite ends of the star. There is a cotter pin too.
Apparently this is how they were in WWII. I am not sure what troops in the field did, I am going to get six safety pins, and attach them that way!

As it says, these bronze rank stars are difficult to find in matching sets, and modern ones are frighteningly expensive. So I'm very pleased with these, which look just the job.

These are not knock-offs, they are very solid durable items that will not bend or break if you brush up against something. Quality that I have come to expect from WPG.
