M1938 Tanker Helmet fits my big head

This is a very decent reproduction helmet for its price. Any all the other offerings on the market are too small for me. Besides the online reviews, I am please with the potential for me to repaint and equip to my liking.
One of the most common complaints is the snaps on the straps at the back. Those are poorly installed, and yes, they came off for me too. But I am handy and will replace the snaps in due time.
I am also impressed with the radio head sets. They look very authentic. And who cares if they do not work? For those of you who have original carbon element head phones and microphones, did you really ever use them?Figure somegthing out with a blue tooth wireless system and get them working.
By the way, I also paired up with an original M1 Steel pot. The fit is perfect.

Very nice reproduction. Closet I will ever get to a real one. Very comfortable to wear and looks great on! Makes a fine addition to my headwear when I play solitaire wargames. Well done WPG!!

Now I understand this is a repro and won’t be made to the same specs or quality of an original.
As soon as I tried to Ian snap both back straps to attach them to the side flaps, one snap on each strap broke and they are now stuck to the helmet. When contacted was offered $20. So I paid around $130-$140 with shipping for a helmet that busted due to failure and I’m offered $20. You sir have lost a customer.
Now I understand this is a repro and won’t be made to the same specs or quality of an original.

The differences between this one and my original are almost undetectable. This one fits my fat head better. on the down side one of the snaps was broken, but no worries, you can't even tell.

Very nice copy of the now-rare tank helmet. I wear a 7 1/8 and was able to adjust this to fit my dome perfectly. Snaps are a bit lose but functional but overall this is a fantastic helmet at a very good price.

This helmet is nearly identical in every detail to a WWII issue M1938 tanker helmet. I’m a US 71/4 or a 58 and the helmet fits me perfectly. I ordered the com set which went in easily.
When I got the helmet one of the snaps came apart when I used it for the first time. I got an RMA and sent it back to Salinas and it was back in a week and now is 100%.
Everything from WPG is always spot on and this is no exception. Very happy with the purchase.

Very nice reproduction. I generally have issues finding a good fit with my 7-3/4 head size......adjusted to perfect fit! Don't hesitate on this helmet for your collection or armored unit reenactment. All it needs is some "battle weathering"....good job WPG.

AFAIK this is the most correct repro available on the market at the moment, reproducing a rawlings type well enough. Just take its shine out with some judicious scrubbing and it will be very convincing

Absolutely supper repro. Looks gorges exept for a few stitches missing and glue visible on the rear of the helmet. Bearly noticeable though. Love it :)

Shipping did take longer than I thought. But this was my first purchase so no biggie there. The helmet itself has a couple of issues, the inner leather at the front hasn't been lined up properly before being bonded in and the green leather lip around the headpiece of the helmet is sitting too high on one side, making the placement of the two retaining bars for the headset a little tight. BUT, they are minor gripes. Overall it has been worth every penny!

Nearly exact copy of an original I compared to at an Army Navy store (which is way to small). The first person to wear it in public was a WWII Veteran at the National WWII Memorial, sitting on a motor cycle of one of the escorts for Honor Flight. He too said it is an exact match to what he was issued. Very pleased. Fast delivery.

I don't have an original to compare it to. Appears correct in the details. And it fits my 7 3/4 head. It will make a nice display piece with my 1942 GPW.

Like everyone has said this is a truly excellent reproduction. Some slight flaws to the original such as the stitching could be tighter. Also as stated the elastic is not up to par and truly would be the only thing I would say is substandard but it looks right and has the right colors. Just 3% more WPG and this is golden

Look and fit is great. All the details are there although the stitching could have been more consistent. Otherwise, looks just like the real thing. With a little use and and some weathering will work well with reenacting - original 70 year old ones are too fragile and valuable to use. Much better than the other repro available. Thanks Jerry!

Overall, this is a great reproduction helmet. The leather quality and assembly are really great and the shipping time was very fast. The only issues my helmet had a couple small star-shaped hairline cracks in the shell and the elastic straps on the back were stretched out and didn't have a lot of elasticity to them. Overall, a nice reproduction at a fraction of the price of an original, and in a larger size for modern heads.

Excellent reproduction, looks awesome with the resital goggles while driving my WLA. Back elastic is a little stretched but so is my original. Order one size larger for a comfy fit. A1 product SUPER fast delivery.
