Outstanding value (2019-02-12)
I've been into repro A-2 jackets for 20 years, and this is definitely the best bang for the buck generic WWII repro I've ever seen. It compares well with jackets costing twice as much, even three times as much.

Construction is 95% correct, materials are good (though some of the hardware choices are odd, like the too-big underarm grommets), the fit is trim but long... and that's "more correct" than oversized. The goatskin is thinner/lighter than average, but has beautiful pebble grain with no blemishes, and it's so soft to the touch that it feels almost like lambskin. Zero break-in is required.

My only complaints are, as someone already said, the folds in the leather on the collar and sleeves from how it was bagged will need time to work out. And - a very common failing of repro A-2s - the epaulets and the seams behind them are set just a little too far forward, falling off the shoulder rather than riding atop. And yeah, there's no spec label. Of course, the addition of an inside pocket is "wrong"... but I love having it!

This jacket would be a perfect gift for a friend or family member who admires your expensive repro A-2 jackets... and won't see any difference in the WPG model!

VERY pleased (2019-02-05)
I've always wanted one of theses for everyday use, and now thanks to WPG I have one at a very reasonable price. Buy it you'll have no regrets!

I ordered one size up after reading the reviews and I recommend you do the same.

The only detractor (which did not rate a 4 ranking) is the jacket ships in a bag rather than a box. The collar of my jacket picked up a crease where none should be, and because it's leather it's not like I can iron the crease out. But really this is only a minor quibble

excellent! (2018-12-03)
Was waiting to write a review till the other guys in my reenactment group seen it, there's some guys that have seen or have the best, every one thought it looked great, and definitely best bang for the buck.
The jacket fits great, little tighter, these jackets are designed like the real ones not after modern day style. And the arms are 40's style, little shorter than to long. I love it.
