Could not ask for a better reproduction mk vii bag with the additional leather strap. I believe it would be pointless to look for an original one that is over 80 years old and probably won’t stand up to any rough outings. This bag is heavy duty. Nothing cheap about it. I I purchased several original bags from WPG about 10 years ago and one of them being a W&G, used them every day but the bags being almost 70 years old they did not last more than a year. So I purchased 2 repros several years appart from Magnoli, the 2nd bag being an improvement over the 1st one but the button snaps were never completely smooth screen accurate correct, even after contacting them about the detail. Now that the tariffs are hitting I took a chance on this WPG repro bag, I have to say I'm very satisfied, great price! the button snaps are smooth, the description says the middle pocket is not further divided into two like the original but this one is, which is better for me since it is the compartment I place my water bottles and I need the divider so they don't tip over.
The only improvement I would make on this bag is the side disc. Overall, when this bag reaches it's end of life I will certainly be buying from WPG again.
