I used to wear surplus Vietnam era jungle pants/boots in the ‘80 working on a tree crew in the summers while at college. Those pants were perfect for muggy Indiana summers and the pants looked badass. As the years went by the poplin style became harder to find. Because l am milling my own wood this summer to make an insane number of windows for the Barndominium l am building l was getting fed up with the price of Carhart and Kuhl pants so l remembered how well the old jungle pants served in the past. I took a chance and looked up “poplin army pants”’and good ol’ WPG came up. I ordered a pair and have been wearing every day for two weeks now. They are exact reproductions of the 2nd style all the way down to the thigh straps in the cargo pockets. I highly recommend these. I want to order two more pair but no Mediums are currently available. Otherwise, couldn’t be happier.
