Ran it through two wash cycles and the brim is stiff enough to stand out flatter than a bucket hat, the crown is just stiff enough to stay off my scalp, and there was no noticeable shrinking. Just what I wanted in a packable hat. This hat is just slightly softer than the brown version. The contrasting stitching looks good.
