I am so happy with the comfort and quality of these shorts that I bought a second pair and these are my regular shorts now. The photographs do not show that the shorts have a high back with two buttons for braces which was typical of trousers in the Victorian and later periods. I remember seeing it on a pair of trousers in a shop when I was a boy. I am an old fogey, so the old-fashioned style is a bonus to me!
