No one today makes any decent copy of the WW2 RAF BD..........originals are now expensive and hard to find.........WPG have hit the nail on the head with these though.........SUPERB colour match on the improved run, softer serge woollen fabric than originals and a tad lighter in weight but then comfier to wear at events today.........cut and style is spot-on.............no internal pockets however so if you want one or two you will need to add them.............lining fabric is a strange dark-blue cloth rather than the drab blue-grey (more grey) drill used in originals but this is overall not a major issue....I did re-line mine though with the correct fabric taken from a set of scrap-RAF overalls..........just for complete authenticity ! Blousefeatures metal buttons, the correct blackened zinc-alloy type, although for the nit-pickers they feature three buttonholes at the waistband rather than the two fitted to originals............black plastic were used on later originals so this may be an option ? As for sizing, I'm about a 42" chest and tall so went for a 44" regular (one size larger) but not an "L" fitting and it was PERFECT !!!! Need to keep these going Jerry as you are the only supplier of an accurate repro at present.........any chance of a RAF OA Greatcoat at some point............?
