I received my boots on February 6 and as I write this, it is April 3. I've been wearing them almost daily since. I have applied several coats of beeswax-based dubbin and they turned the gorgeous russet brown typical of pre-1950s U.S. Army gear. They are super comfortable with a good amount of arch support, a close-fitting heel, and the wide toe box you would expect from boots built on a Munson last.
These are some of the most comfortable boots I've ever owned and beat the Chippewas they replaced hands down for comfort. That's the good part.
The bad: the details and the durability. The sole of my left boot is sewn on unevenly. The tongue of the right boot is attached very wrong -- as you view the boot from the front, the tongue points to 11 o'clock rather than straight up. Finally, just this morning the stacked heel of my left boot has started to come apart. I am likely to be barefoot by the time we catch Pancho Villa.
All in all, I really like these, but I fear they won't last very long, and I'm likely to try to source another pair elsewhere when they do wear out due to the quality control issues cited above.

Great item to finish out an impression

Look great and compliment well my 1902 Cav grouping. Made well, sizing right on . Typical leather- needs worn and broke in.

Well made
(8/19/2021)
A sturdy, well made boot with flat laces (wish the aglets were metal but can fix that) and correct construction. Got a size larger than daily wear and they are true to size. Just the piece I needed to finish my 1902-1918 impressions. Would recommend.
