I''ve collected a few pith helmets, from cheap costume ones to the nicer ones from Vietnam. This is hands down the best I''ve seen. Instead of the standard ''one size fits all'' velcro headband this one is actually sized and set into the helmet with rubber standoffs. I''ve only seen that in original German and Italian helmets (read big $$''s). Inside is fully lined with satin, chin strap is actual leather, not plastic. For the price the quality is outstanding. Size tip, keep in mind the headband is totally FIXED. No stretching or forming like a felt hat. I take a 7 1/4 hat, maybe a 7 3/8 if it runs small. 7 1/2 fit just right. May want to order one size up.
