I can''t speak to the authenticity, as I''ve never owned a period pith helmet. But the quality of this product is the best I''ve seen and I''ve bought a few pith helmets. Great job!

I own an original pith of this style, and this is a pretty good reproduction of it. I've bought other attempts at this design, and all were disappointments. This one was not perfect, but darn close. The outside of the helmet is hard to tell if it was not an original, other than the fact that the pugaree is much bigger on the original. Although the interior is far superior to all others I've seen, it's not like the original. I'm a 7 1/2 long oval head size, and it's too tight. I've taken the sweatband out, and will make adjustments to make it work. It is attached by four metal rivets with bendable tabs that are easy to remove. I will make this helmet work, as it is truly a handsome addition to my collection. The Vietnam versions are to heavy, and are nowhere near as accurate as this one. I would buy one again.

Good solid repro- not like other cheap Asian copies. Full leather sweatband, solid pith construction, chinststrap of quality leather, with a bit of wear and some light soiling, these will look original!

Sizing- I normally take a 71/4, ordered a 7 1/2 and it fits well with a bit of room.
