Second Pattern Jungle Fatigue Jacket

The jacket is made from non-ripstop poplin. The material weight is identical to original garments. The material is about as close as possible to the military-issued poplin. Some jackets have material that is a little thicker than originals.

The cut, shade, fabric, and construction are very close to original poplin garments. The pockets, waist tabs, and shoulder loops are positioned correctly. Some jackets have top pockets that are too large, not correctly tapered, and have extra rows of stitching not seen on originals. The colour is nearly dead on, though some jackets have a colour substantially different from unfaded originals.

The sizes are a tad on the big side before washing. The fit is generally reported as perfect. The garment measurements are provided in the extended description for chest, sleeves, shoulder, and body length. It is recommended to check these measurements against your own.

The buttons could be better if they were smooth, shiny, and dark. Some jackets ship with shiny buttons that look good. The jacket comes with incorrect sizing labels and a "made in China" label on the inside.

This is a reproduction of the second pattern of the Tropical Combat Jacket. This pattern was modified by covering all buttons and removing epaulets from the jacket. The non-ripstop fabric makes it a good option for early and mid-period impressions.

The jacket is extremely comfortable to wear. It is practical with its large pockets. The jacket also does what it is supposed to and keeps the wearer cool.
