These are an olive green color that fades out to match exactly the originals I have had.  Regular and Long sizes have a 6 inch body taper from chest to waist.  Extra Large sizes have a 2 body taper for the more corpulent.

What is the sizing like for this jacket?

The jacket generally runs small, so ordering one size larger than your usual is recommended. The waist is drawn in like the original garments, which is a consideration if you do not have a thin or athletic build. Taller individuals, over 5'10" (180 cm), may find a 'long' size more suitable. Some jackets have an inconsistent fit, so checking measurements is advisable.

What material is the jacket made from?

The jacket is made from cotton twill fabric. It is a reproduction of an early WWII pattern P-37 battledress. The fabric is a tight knit and has a good quality feel.

What colour is the jacket?

The jacket is an olive green colour. This colour fades out over time to match original garments. Early denim battledress colours varied widely, from olive green to brown.

How does the jacket fit after washing?

Washing the jacket in warm water and drying on a permanent press setting can cause the sleeves to shrink up perfectly. The body of the jacket generally remains fairly loose after washing. One jacket, a 48L, was small after laundry, suggesting some variation in post-wash fit.

Are the buttons on the jacket removable?

Yes, the buttons on the jacket are like the originals and are removable for washing. This feature allows for customisation, such as fitting original KM buttons with toggles for a U-Boat authentic look. The buttons are well-made and contribute to the jacket's authentic appearance.

Is the jacket suitable for layering?

A thinner merino wool sweater or a tee shirt and midweight hoody can fit underneath the jacket. However, bulkier sweaters may not work well due to the sleeve openings in the body. The jacket is lightweight enough for warmer climates and can be worn as a windbreaker.
