What period does this service coat reproduce?

This reproduction is of the early WWII style Coat, Service. It features a bi-swing pleated back, characteristic of that period. The coat is suitable for reenactment events, allowing original garments to be preserved. It is almost indistinguishable from an original.

How does the fabric compare to original service coats?

The fabric is described as superb in look, feel, and manufacture. Some coats have fabric that is a bit lighter than original garments. However, the colour and texture are spot on compared to originals.

How should I choose my size for this service coat?

Sizing can be inconsistent, and indications may be misleading. It is common to order multiple sizes to find the best fit. Measuring your chest and shoulders is recommended, as the fit around these areas is crucial.

What are the available body styles and their intended fit?

The coat is available in Regular, Long, X-Large, X-Large Long, XX-Large, and XX-Large Long body styles. Regular length is for heights 5'9" to 6', while Long is 2 inches longer for those over 6'. X-Large and XX-Large styles offer different body tapers for larger builds, with XX-Large having no taper.

Are there any known issues with pocket placement?

Breast pocket placement can vary between coats. Some coats have breast pockets placed too high, by approximately one inch. This can cause the lapel to partially obscure anything more than a single row of campaign ribbons.

What is the fit like in the sleeves?

The sleeves can run long on some coats. One coat, a 44 Long, was a bit long in the arms. However, a 48 Long fit perfectly for a tall individual without needing tailoring.
