US M1912 Mounted Pistol Holster

The holster is designed to fit the M1911 .45 cal automatic pistol. It fits the M1911 perfectly and like a glove. With the internal spacer removed, the holster will also fit an M9 or Baretta 92 FS. The Colt 1902 Military Model in .38 also fits perfectly after removing the spacer.

The holster is made from high-quality, robust leather. It is solidly made with excellent craftsmanship in the leatherwork and stitching. The leather is in excellent health and is a fine piece of leather.

The holster is new and requires breaking in, similar to an original. Some holsters arrive with a white residue on the leather, which dissolves with neatfoot oil. Applying neatfoot oil also helps achieve the proper tone and makes the leather look like an original.

This is the first model holster adopted for the M1911 .45 cal automatic pistol. It saw service on the Mexican border and into WWI. The holster can occasionally be seen in use in photographs right up to WWII.

This mounted version features a swivel and a leg strap. These components are designed to keep the holster from bouncing while riding. The holster is a reproduction of the M1912/M1916 profile and fit.

The holster features brass hardware. This is preferred over the steel hardware found on more modern holsters. The swivel and shank leather may not always match the holster itself.
